Bongo boards offer another way to add core training to your overall fitness routine. A Bongo board workout engages your core muscles in the back and abdomen, as well as the muscles in your legs and hips, to keep your balance as you stand on the board and roll from side to side. The bongo board looks something like a skateboard, but it has an unattached fulcrum on the bottom that rolls from one side to the other.
Benefits of a bongo board include:
-Increased core strength.
-Improved strength and range of motion in the ankles, knees, and hips.
-Ease of use. You can use a bongo board anywhere, indoors or outdoors. Just place the board and fulcrum on the floor, step down on one side, then on the other side and start moving your legs to keep your balance. Start next to a wall for support until you get the hang of it.
